By Sarah from northern Illinois on 07/16/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High Quality, Versatile Best Uses: Comfort-Oriented Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shorts to wear while golfing. They're great for that. It's really hard to find shorts with cargo pockets for women, at least in my area. These are just what I had hoped.
By Mountain Momma from Blue Ridge Mountains, NC on 07/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Outdoorsy Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great low-waisted fit (but not too low). I'm usually a size 8, but needed a 10 in these..so if in doubt definitely order up. Length is good, but a little on the longer side for a shorty (5'4"), but still beats the ride-up of too short! In general, I have a terrible time finding shorts that fit like I like for hiking, but these were near perfect!
By deb from cape cod on 07/10/2008 Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: 2 sizes too small waist and hips
By Older Wanna Be Hip Gal from Minneapolis, MN on 06/27/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Comfort-Oriented, On The Weekend Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought for river fun and their quick dry ability but they look so good that I plan to wear for general use. A good buy. Haven't tried washing yet so can't comment on that.
By Maggie from Los Angeles, CA on 06/24/2008 Best Uses: Will use for hiking Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Only disappointed the hand pockets are not as deep as expected for cargo-type shorts. The fabric feels good, lightweight. Seems to run a little large.
By Nana T from Memphis, TN on 06/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High Quality Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Be sure and order a size larger. Even at that, they are a little snug. Columbia always runs small but these are even more so.
Casual maybe, not active! By ns from Lexington, KY on 06/10/2008 Cons: Falls Too Low Below The Waist Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: too tight and low cut for active wear

Good for hiking. I've had other Columbia shorts and they've been very sturdy and well-made.
By Maddog's Mommy from Durango, CO on 06/01/2008 Pros: Breathable, High Quality, Stylish Cons: Falls Too Low Below The Waist Best Uses: Comfort-Oriented, On The Weekend Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shorts are very low waisted. Otherwise, I like the length and the style but the waist falls a good 2 inches below my navel (and I have a low navel). I will probably return due to the major muffin top dangers involved.
