I have flat feet and need some decent support around the instep and these sandals provide enough for me. My one complaint, but not serious enough to return the sandals, is that the top of the sandal is rather big and folds up and hits my leg at that intersection where leg and foot meet.

I have been wearing socks with them to break them in when I stay in for the day, and they are getting much more comfortable! I love Born sandals! I have had problems with the sole cracking in the past, but hope to not have that problem this time.

A bit stiff/sharp around the edges - but after the second day of wearing - they softened up. There was a lot of sticky glue at the seams. But that has worn off as well.
