I followed other comments and ordered a size up (normally sz-8, but ordered sz-10). Fits very well -- I have a normal (cup-B) chest. Contrary to another comment, I found that I am easily able to wear a bra with this dress. Straps do not show at all. This dress has a cute, figure-flattering design. Very classic and even conservative (think Jackie Kennedy!) and fun. Slightly short; wish it were 1" longer, but it's still a keeper.

It has open slits that I did not see in the pic, but they are very cute and not too revealing. This is a nice fabric with an embroidered print. You can dress it up or down. I will get many wears out of this dress.

It can be worn without a bra, so no worries from that aspect. But, I was looking for a sleeveless dress and this has too much back exposed for my purposes.

A note on size -- I have two other Maggy London dresses, both size 4, both fit me perfectly. The 4 wasn't available for this dress, so I ordered a 2 and 6. The 6 fits perfectly. The label on the inside says "Muse" so perhaps this dress is part of the Maggy London line that is sized differently. I think this is also a dress that would look good on a wide variety of ages. The design on the fabric doesn't look too busy, and is embroidered on, not printed.

I think it will be a great travel dress that can be dressed up or down and will also make a great summer work dress with a cardigan...because the back is kind of low.

The photos may not show the 4-5 slits in the bodice top. Since I didn't want my bra straps to show (and they clearly showed through the slits), I hand-stitched the two outer slits shut and no one will ever notice. One seam on the back was pulled open [...], but the fabric wasn't ripped, and I could easily re-sew the seam. I also shortened the straps an inch for a better fit in the bodice. Why all the alterations? I like the fabric and I think it's a cute dress. I see myself wearing it with capri-length leggings and heels for dressy casual. Nice fabric, cute style, and nothing really fits great off the rack.

Order one size larger. I'm a small size 4 & the 6 is snug. Because of the low back, which you can't tell in the photo, you'll need a jacket or sweater to wear it to work.
