By Zydekitten from New Orleans, LA on 04/16/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Cons: Irregular Fit, WAY CRAZY too small Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This has to be the world's smallest size 8!!! They must have used Oompa-Loompas for the sizing of this skirt - I usually wear a size 6-8 (used to be a size 4, but that's a WHOLE other tale and I'm working on getting back there), and this is NO size 8!!
Which is highly disappointing, as it otherwise seems to be an excellent, quality garment that would get much wear here in the wet Spring/Summer music festival season . . . sigh. Oh well, hopefully upon return, it will find a good home with someone who currently wears a 2.
By Leave Footprints from Long Island, NY on 04/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the color. The fit is true to size. I liek the pockets and pull cords. A light skirt so it is better for the warm months.
Not what is shown in picture By Shawna the skirt wearer from Missoula, MT on 04/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I expected this skirt to at least go to my knees. Not the case. I normally wear a size 6 to 10 depending on the manufacturer and this felt like a size 2. No room for hips and too much room for waist. The material was very noisy and seemed very cheap.
cute, but not for everyone By exStreamMamma from Outside, U.S.A on 04/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This skirt was really cute and a great buy. But the length was not for me. It's shorter then I thought it should be for hiking around and the size was off. I wear a 6-8 and the 6 that I ordered didn't fit my size 2 sister! It was too small. Loved everything about the style and the material.
Well-made, attractive skirt By eastside shopper from new york on 04/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoors, Over a bathing suit, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Finally, a skirt that sits right on the waistline, not slightly below! I'm generally a 2P or 4P, but was gratified to find that this skirt fit me. It's very well made with a lot of nice pocket features and the drawstring waist has just enough give to make the waistline comfortable without creating a lot of bulk in the skirt.
By Caitigumbo from SoDak on 04/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the color of this skirt(dark orange-red), and the fit is good. The velcro closure has me a little nervous, but so far it's OK. I have bought another skirt/skort from Mountain Hardware, and found both to be really nice looking and fit well.
By naturemurph from central coast, ca on 04/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a cute skirt. I like the longer length. I haven't worn it traveling yet, but it looks like it might wrinkle if packed away. The nylon also might be uncomfortable in hot climates. Overall it is cute and functional.
