By gear nerd from southwest Missouri on 11/01/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my girlfriend. I was very unsure as to what size to get. The sizing on this softshell was a bit off so I had to take a gamble. It said that the small was a size 2-4 and the medium was a 6-8. She is normally between a 4 and a 6 so you can see how I was in a dilemma. I decided to go with the medium and it fit perfectly! It was a bit thicker than I thought I would be compared to other softshells I have seen due to the polartech fleece lining, but that really made it a good value. I like how abrasion it is and how quiet the material is. However I do wish that it had core venting and some pockets inside the jacket. It is very flexible and the water-repellent finish from the factory is very good. All in all at this price it is a very good deal.

Good comfortable jacket overall By Alaska bear from Fallbrook, CA on 04/07/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the stretch. Extremely comfortable as a single layer. Sleeves are narrow - not much room to accomodate more than a light layer underneath. Not quite as warm and heavier than as I expected. Sleeves run long - great if you have long arms. I don't but, am keeoping it becaus it is so comfortabela and looks sharp. You can use the velcro wrist straps to secure the sleeves.
By reviewer99 from Washington on 03/08/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Warm. I usually wear size small, and the size small of this jacket fits well. It is a slim fit especially through the sleeves, so I wear close fitting shirts underneath (no bulky sweaters).
Great for cold weather sports By Outdoor Family from Duluth, MN on 02/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fleece lining is thicker than most soft shell jackets, but works well for active sports like nordic skiing in cold weather. Very attractive color patterns. Form fitting.

By WI ice climber from Wisconsin on 11/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my favorite fall/spring jacket. I live in Wisconsin so its not enough to keep me warm in the winter, but it works well as a layering piece with a waterproof shell over, as the jacket itself is only water resistant. It is very stylish and I have received so many complements! I use it hiking, climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, and just taking the dog for a quick walk. Very versatile, excellent quality (as usual Mtn Hardwear is the best!) Love all the little extras- pocket on the arm, fleece lined warmth, etc. Only drawback is the toggle on the back of the neck gets stuck in my pony tail and snags occasionally.
By clearance rack girl from Colorado on 07/16/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Fall or spring, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Softshell jackets are usually cut close and fit on the snug side. I usually wear a 4-6 so I ordered the 6-8 Medium size. It was way too big in every way. If you order this jacket, go by the letter sizing rather than the number. It's a nice jacket otherwise.
By St. Alfonzo from San Diego, CA on 03/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Mountaineer and PCT hiker Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket for my 14 year-old daughter, who didn't want a Mountain Hardwear mountaineering jacket. She fell in love with the color, feel and fit immediately, and it has now become a favorite. Good styling; nice fit; good value for the money.
