light, breathable, vented By rural girl from cold & rainy, NY on 12/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Great vents, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Wind proof breathable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Wet Weather Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket - it is perfect - I prefer to hike in the rain and I can go out all day, off trail, brushing against leaves and not get wet and not have perspiration build-up in the shoulders or anywhere else; the venting is great! The hood and sleeves are well thought-out. Very well made. I highly recommend this to anyone who spends a lot of time outside and doesn't want to let a little or a lot of rain get in the way!
By Max Wood's Girl from Moscow, ID on 11/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got it in a Medium. The small would probally have fit but the medium gives me room to move and layer. I have been wearing as a rain coat while I bike to school. I have not been cold in it yet! The hood closes up nicely around my neck, and face.
By snowshoe happy from Neihart, MT on 06/05/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear mediums, but I got the large, which was a good choice. I like the long sleeves so I can "turtle" my hands inside, or cover my wrists while biking. I wish it had a mesh lining because in cool weather the fabric transmits the cold and in warm weather it transmits the heat. The front pockets are too small and too high, so if you put anything in them you look pregnant. Even so, overall it is attractive. Some of the design flaws are compensated for by the fact that it looks good.

By Survivor Girl from Michigan on 04/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket last summer for late fall, winter, and spring outdoor activities. It really delivers! I've used it as a rain coat, windbreaker, and a top layer to my Mtn HW Flip jacket. It breaths really well, and has arm pit zippers if you need a little extra ventilation. I only wish the hood was a bit bigger for my activities that require a lot of moving around. It does restrict my head movement a little bit, but I don't use it much so it's not really a "con" for me.
I love the style of the jacket. It's cute and sporty. It totally fits my "Outdoor girl" style!
By Maureen from Connecticut on 03/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I marked this jacket as "true to length" for the sleeves for me. I am tall with long arms and the sleeves on the size M jacket are plenty long. They may be too long for others.
The only thing I'd recommend Mountain Hardware change is to make the hood bigger. It is just a little bit on the skimpy side for me.
By Soggy in Seattle from Seattle, wa on 01/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket to wear as a top layer when hiking in extreme conditions (climbing Mt Adams, Mt Rainier in Summer). It was warm and waterproof. The weight is like a heavy rain jacket, with the matt appearance of a soft shell. Lots of well placed pockets and pit zips that work great with a backpack. Jacket is very contoured around waist and roomy through Shoulders. It's a flattering cut, but may be a problem if you're heavy around the middle.
no soft shell feel, but is warm By skidog from colorado on 12/28/2007 Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the sleeves are big compared to the sizing on the rest of the coat. It will keep you warm and is light weight.
