By Fitness Fanatic from Lake Tahoe on 11/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband commented that my around-the-town and winter activity jacket (snowshoeing, fall hiking/walking, and x-country skiing) was looking a bit worse for wear, so I popped onto STP. I knew I could count on Mountain Hardwear for a perfect fit and great quality and this coat didn't let me down.
It fits perfectly. The shape is flattering, but there is plenty of room for layering underneath and a nice looseness that allows freedom of movement whether hiking in the snow or hoofing it on the streets.
The look is "sporty" so though I wear it almost daily around town, it is an active look.
It doesn't block all of the wind, but does help, which is excellent. If I could change anything about this coat, I would add a hood. otherwise, it's pefect.

By Tropical Trader from Honolulu, HI on 04/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a multi-purpose jacket to take on trips: One that wouldn't be too warm and heavy for the plane or too light to wear while walking outdoors in 40-60 degree weather. This jacket fits the bill. It looks good with blue jeans or black slacks.
By Deb,love to hike from Oro Valley, AZ on 02/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Keeps that chill away, when the wind is strong and the day is chillier than normal....I wear on cooler winter days on our weekend hikes.
Great Jacket at a Great Price By gear nut from san diego, ca on 12/30/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great deal, I love this jacket. The fit is a little trim, so size accordingly if you want to wear multiple layers under it. The fabric is great, microfleece that doesn't pill and stays looking clean. It really does cut down on the wind, I've noticed a great difference when riding a bike in cool weather. Its a light/medium weight jacket that looks great from the trail to the streets.
By Renee from Ashburn, VA on 11/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Wind-resistant Cons: Not for very cold weather Best Uses: Casual Wear, Windy days Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this jacket. It's good on windy days. The only thing I would change would be the color. Mine is the green/yellow color. Other than, that, I'm happy.
By fish gal from Seattle, WA on 07/23/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Warm Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a good looking jacket, stylish and is very well made. I ordered a small (no mediums available). I usually wear a petite size small or an eight, so I thought I'd be okay. The fit is described as "classic fit", and for me it is bit snug (I am "chesty"). Because I like to layer, I prefer the outer layer to be a bit roomy. I won't be able to layer clothing under it, unless the layers are very light. Nonetheless, I am keeping it! Because I am a petite, I would guess that the medium would be long in the sleeves for me. The extra length of a medium wouldn't be a problem because it is a jacket.
Primary uses: walking, hiking, boating and around town. I live in the Northwest--windy and rainy!!

Couldn't pass it up; just waiting in my closet for fall/winter. Should be perfect for road cycling - wind resistent and warm. Plus it's very stylish!
