Comments:
These shorts are nice when you're walking around wearing them. But when you sit down, they ride up in the crotch area making it uncomfortable. Some added stretch to the material would be nice, and deeper pockets too.

Comments:
I really like the aqua/blue color as it works well with my summer wardrobe and is not drab looking. I like the arrangement of the pockets without adding too much bulk. The length is decent for hiking and climbing on rocks. The 6 is a little large for me in the waist & there wasn't the option of ordering a 4, so I need to wear a belt with them.

Very comfortable shorts. Dries fast, so you can pack less! Large in the waist, but not in the seat and crotch. I sewed bottons on the waist band to tighten them up.

Cons:

Comments:
I got these shorts in the pale blue and in the 4" length. The length is just right; the 7" length would have been too long and hot. They are a little see through though.
The low-waisted feature makes the shorts stylish and keeps me cooler than natural-waisted shorts. I particularly like the soft waistband on the inside of the shorts.
The slash, zipper pockets look nice; I just wish they were deeper.
They are a little tight in the crotch area; I wish these shorts had some stretch in them.

Great Shorts run big for Columbia

Length:
Feels true to length
Pros:
Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish
Best Uses:
Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I purchased a size 6 because most of my experiences with Columbia Sportswear shorts/skorts is that they run a little small. However, these shorts were huge! I was able to take them off without unsnapping them. This is unfortunate, because I like the look and the length (7" inseam). I am now a little hesitant to purchase size 4, because the size 6 shorts were so big. Stay with your true size with these shorts.
