By Just Here from in Cheyenne, WY on 05/11/2008 Cons: "Sheds", Develops Cavity, Feathers 'travel', Lumpy Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This pillow top leaked feather all over our mattress. It was so bad, we couldn't even suck them up with a vacuum! We had to hand pick them out of the material- it took the better part of an hour! They also came through the top and poked us in the night.
Also, the feathers 'traveled'. Each night, I had to re-fluff it every night for even coverage.
There is nothing like a feather top bed By JJW from NY near the Finger Lakes on 11/28/2007 Cons: Feather quills not crushe Best Uses: Everyday Bedding Describe Yourself: Fussy, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I already had a feather top from a few years ago, and want to switch back and forth. This new one is not same quality. It is nice, but the feather quills are spearing up and out of the feather top. The old feather top the feathers were crushed and rarely poked you or popped through the fabric. This Blue Ridge feather top has too stiff of feathers. It does have nice loft and mostly is very comfortable, but when one of those stiff feather quills pokes you it's not so nice.
