Product not as pictured . . . By The Princess and the Pea from Langhorne, CA on 12/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, NOT as fluffy as expected, Soft Feel Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It's on our Master bed. It is OK, but not terrific, as I expected. The catalogue shows a cover with a damask stripe in it, and the bulk looks to be nice and full. In reality, it has a flat(plain white) cover, and the interior stuffing is not very "puffy."
Take one of these & call me in the a.m. By Sweet dreamer, smart shopper from Minneapolis on 12/02/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Support Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We got this to provide some comfort to our mattress. It is awesome. We've gone from tosser-and-turners to sleepers-like-the-dead. Great comfort. No poking feathers. We cover ours with a fitted sheet, and it sits on top of the mattress covered with a fitted sheet (so it doesn't all mush down on the edge by pulling a sheet over both featherbed and mattress.)
By Smart Shopper from New Mexico on 11/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Support Best Uses: Guest Bed, Primary Bed Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was suffering on an expensive pillow top that has developed body depressions. The thought of replacing it so soon sickened me! I have never tried a feather bed, and after reading the reviews of this one decided to try it out. If spending about [$] could save me close to a thousand for a mattress replacement, why not give it a try? I haven't slept this well in a very long time! My back is no longer sore in the morning and I actually feel rested! Get one of these! I highly recommend it!!!!
Float away to the land of nod By Rvr2mtn from Salem, Oregon on 10/20/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Soft Feel Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband and I stayed in Juneau Alaska at a place with feather beds and came back convinced we wanted our own. We ordered one from another source and put it on a bed in a cottage on Mt Hood where we live on the weekends. It's wonderful. We had to have one for every night. So we ordered this one and it is even better than the first one we bought. It doesn't shift. HINT - Put it under a mattress cover. I can hardly wait to float away to dreamland every night. We both sleep so well. There is one drawback - it feels so good, we don't like to get out of bed in the morning.
By Lollie from Australia on 12/25/2007 Cons: Poor quality, Thin, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I think the product lacked in every way. It was not worth what I paid for it. It is thin and you can feel every feather poke you when you sleep. I thought it would be thicker and more luxurious. Sorry I won't be buying again.
By not so much from Lebanon, MO on 12/15/2007 Pros: Nice Thread Count, Soft Best Uses: Everyday Bedding, Formal Beds Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the cozy comfort of sinking into the feather bed and haven't slept this well in a long time.
By Lazy sleepy from Houston on 12/14/2007 Pros: Like a big marshmallow Best Uses: Everyday Bedding Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It definitely doesn't look as stiff as the picture, but that being said, its pretty darn great. Before I got it, I was concerned about smelly feathers, quality and overheating. It was a bit lumpy out of the box but you just give a pretty good fluffing and its pretty even. I get really hot when I sleep and it did take a bit to get used to but now I like it tons. For the price, you won't get anything this luxurious. It literally feels like sleeping on a cloudy marshmallow. The only down side is that the feathers tend to stick out a pretty good amount on the sides. None on top and that's pretty much the most important part. I just don't know what I will do if I have to sleep away from my bed now.
By Pam from Maryland on 12/12/2007 Pros: Downproof fabrics, Lots of small baffles Best Uses: Everyday Bedding Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We had gotten a featherbed from a department store, and after just a few months were thinking about giving up on it. The baffles were too large and the down and feathers kept shifting into uncomfortable positions.
We bought this one due to the 11" squares, and the "pillowtop" filled with just down. The difference is unbelievable!!! I haven't had so many good nights' sleep in months! We aren't poked in the middle of the night by the feathers and the down stays pretty much in place.
Bravo.
Everyone should have one of these!! By Caz from Australia on 12/10/2007 Pros: comfort, luxury, indulge, Soft Best Uses: Everyday Bedding Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The feather bed is better than anything I had imagined, it is superb to sleep on. I now have an undisturbed full nights sleep...it seems to regulate temperature and just feels wonderful. Much cheaper than a new mattress and way better.
By Sleeps Well from Bemidji, Minnesota on 11/22/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Quality, Soft, Stayed fluffy Cons: Professional cleaning Best Uses: Everyday Bedding Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have had mine for over 6 years--stayed fluffy despite the fact my husband and I are bigger people. Am now going to order another to replace it and put the old one on our spare bed. The best feather bed I have found anywhere--and I have paid much more for much less! Remember: Two things you should spend money on are your shoes and your bed--because when you're not in one, you're in the other! Keeps us warm in winter too!
