Would also work well under a bed spread for cold winters. The material is very soft, our cat loves it. We haven't laundered it yet so no information yet in that area. Over all a good product.

I couldn't be happier as they are the softest blankets I have ever owned. If I had more beds I would buy more! I haven't laundered yet so can't speak to that aspect but not expecting any problems.

The material is also a little thinner than I would've liked. I'm really only going to be able to use it during the summer/early fall months.
