However, this model is quite wide (I wear a narrow) and seemingly off sizing wise.

I'm usually between a size 8 or 8.5 so I ordered an 8.5. They fit well. They don't breathe very well so your feet can get sweaty. I've gotten compliments almost every time I wear them.
