By hiway99w from Newberg, OR on 10/24/2009 Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy Best Uses: Protecting Gear, Storing Gear Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is absolutely huge and well-suited to storing and transporting a serious camera outfit to a photo shoot. Tons of compartments and pockets make storing and accessing equipment and accessories easy. At nearly 8 lbs., though, this is not a camera pack for hiking or trail use (my intended use)--it is at least twice as big a necessary for that purpose.
OK but needs design changes By JKW from Navarre, FL on 02/09/2009 Cons: Cumbersome, Hard To Access Equipment, Uncomfortable Fit Best Uses: Protecting Gear Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The design of this pack could be imroved. You have to completely open the pack to access camera equipment and it seems they constructed the clam shell opening backwards so that you have to unfold the whole thing to get at your stuff. Also the two outside pockets are huge. It would be better to have some smaller outside pockets and more of them so I could store more film, filters, light meter, flash, etc. As it is I have to open the entire pack to access these things. Also comfort is OK but I think the camera pack makers need to look at how backpacking packs are made - they are much more comfortable and better fitting. What good is the pack if it's too uncomfortable to carry my gear?

Great Backpack ... and I should know! By CameraCarl from Minnesota on 07/27/2008 Pros: Big for pro cameras, Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Hauling lots of gear Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I own four camera backpacks and even more shoulder bags. This is one of the best backpacks I have seen/used. It is big enough for my rather extensive camera system and also big enough for me (I'm 6'1").
By David, a Tucsonan Photographer from Tucson, AZ on 07/07/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Cons: Bulky, Hard to Setup Best Uses: Airline Travel, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Professional Guide What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pack has an incredible amount of compartments and many options to personalize your way of carrying gear. My only complaints are that it takes a while to hide straps and getting the adjustments right, and that it doesn't has a place for a hydration pouch, which I use extensively. It has a place for two bottles but they get hot very quickly. My gear is well protected though...

I'd say twice the size I thought it was... It will be going back...
This is a HUGE pack with wasted space By Eric from Denver, CO on 06/19/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this pack for a digital camera and about 8 lenses. I had plenty of room for all that equipment, plus a few extra spaces for flashes and remotes...but what bugged me is that I was carrying around a lot of air, making the entire pack much to bulky for what I was carrying. The depth of the camera compartment is just too deep for most lenses...and even for long lenses that you would lay on their side instead of going in head first. Overall, a very well built pack, but just not the right proportions for camera equipment, even with movable dividers.
If you want to go hiking with a Medium format system, this might be a great choice, because it carries weight REALLY comfortably.

By Webby from Twin Falls, ID on 04/19/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: anyime you hit the trail Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is great. It has all the necessary things to allow convenience and ease of use. One thing many people don't like about it is the way the pack unzips from the back to get into the main compartments. I really like this. It keeps your back panel clean and you can swing it around easy enough to fold down the pack and get into your camera and lens compartments.
One thing, this pack is very big. I was a little shocked at first when I opened the package. However, this is kindof what I was looking for anyway. I normally pack 3 camera bodys. 2 digital and one large format film. along with 5 or six lenses, including a monster 500mm canon L. And it amazingly holds it all and carries it in comfort. Highly recommended to anybody looking for a camera pack you can carry everything including your snacks, lunch and dinner.
