I was not sure of these towels at first, they looked thinner than some of the deluxe towels on the market. After using them however, the proof is in the fibers. They absorb very very well, and so far no fraying/looping as is typical from JCP towels which I have many of .
The Egyptian cotton in these is very good, as I also have the wash cloth's , which also seem somewhat thin compared to some of the thick ones sold today, but they absorb better than anything I've tried. They absorb like a sponge, wring out quite dry, and are ready for more absorbing.
So, while they may not look like super deluxe towels , thickness isn't everything .... it's how good the cotton that IS there performs , and these perform very very well .
4 stars because there is probably a better towel out there, but likely it costs a lot more.

However, I am rather disappointed as they are not very big and they are a bit thin for my likes. They are however nice looking and appear to be of fair quality. However, I doubt I'd buy any more of these particular towels.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The towels are a very good value. There are higher quality towels at a much higher price, and lower priced towels of much lower quality. These are a very nice balance of the two.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It's OK for a towel, but too thin to be considered luxurious. The cotton is soft, but not expecially fluffy. I ordered the "tan" color, which to me looks like an unattractive light brown.
