Classic styling, rugged shirt By Sandy10 from Cape Cod, MA on 07/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Outdoor Activities, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have this shirt in three colors! I found the first one in a store, and have been searching the internet for more colors. I have this shirt in both long and short sleeves, in four different colors. I bought them for travel, and have found them to be some on the most useful shirts I have ever bought. They look great under a blazer, with skirts and jeans, with jewelry, with a scarf, layered over a top, and even layered together. They are great for everyday, work, on the boat, at the beach, travel, or camping.
The fit of this shirt is great for a woman with slender arms and waist and a larger bust. I am 5'8", 125#, with a 36" bust, and the 8 fits me perfectly. I usually wear a small or medium top. The fabric is a bit sheer, but the classic fit and a neutral bra make this OK. The hem is just the right length so it doesn't show under a blazer, but covers the top of my jeans. The fit and fabric are cool on a hot, humid day, and the shirt washes and dries beautifully, even in a hostel sink.
By Focusfree from PA on 01/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Outdoor Activities, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned this item although I like the color, the material and the little security pocket. The shirt was too short and the sleeves were poorly cut: I couldn't move my shoulders and arms. The sleeve-hem was too tight and will fit only the skinnies of teenagers.
Comments about small size are true! By going to south africa! from san antonio, tx on 12/05/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually order a size small top and I ordered a size 6. It is quite tight and I'm exchanging it for an 8. I ordered another style of shirt by Mountain Hardwear in 6 and it fits fairly well, even a little on the big side. This particular style must run small.
By Sadie Lady from Ann Arbor, MI on 07/01/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Liked everything about it except the fit -- the darts are oddly placed, resulting in bunching of material in front. I could not figure out how to adjust the darts myself to give a smoother apppearance. Had to send it back.
By disappointed from western, ny on 06/29/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered the largest size available, a size larger than I generally wear, and it was much too small. Other than that, it has nice details and beautiful fabric
By retired and happy from western ny on 06/23/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Nice details, Stylish Cons: Poor Fit, very small Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like the details and the fabric but I generally wear a size 6 and the size 8 was very tight on me. Unfortunately size 8 was the largest available so the shirt is on its way back.
buttonholes poorly constructed By J from Muncie, IN on 06/23/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Washes Easily Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The threads around the button holes were loose such that when I unbottoned the shirt the buttons got caught in the loose thread and created pulls in the fabric.
By runs a lot in AZ from Tucson, AZ on 06/17/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice, casual wear shirt, however, not very wrinkle resistant. Very lightweight but runs small around the chest, particularly the back. I pulled it immediately from the dryer and was disappointed to find wrinkles.
By active mom from Laguna Niguel, CA on 06/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Washes Easily Cons: slightly snug shoulder Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great shirt but would order a size up next time due to shoulder (doesn't allow full extension of raised arms or big bear hugs)but otherwise very comfy and great looking. I have worn it several time and washed and am very pleased with overall performance.
By Amphetamine from Corpus Christi, TX on 05/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Washes Easily Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had read that the shirt runs small, but didn't realize it ran THAT small... Feels very tight in the chest and shoulders, but a sports bra helps a great deal.
