By on the fly from Charlotte on 07/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I loved this hat so much I bought a second one in a different color. The brim is perfect because you can fold up the edge or leave it down for more sun protection. I have not used it to ward off the bugs but from the other reveiws I am certain it will do it's job. I also love that the neck strap/sting is attached by clips so you can completly remove it if you need or want to. I feels very duable & I am sure it will be a constant in my wardrobe for years.

What you see is what you get! By Mary beth from Salt Lake City, Ut on 06/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking, Sun protection, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for hiking in the hot sunny dessert. Hat is lightweight. The wide Brim provides great sun protection. Hat is a bit floppy, but it allows you to put the brim right where you want it, then it stays put.
By Linda, the friend of tigers from Chapel Hill, NC on 06/13/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I volunteer at a sanctuary for tigers. Taking care of them or leading tours to explain the plight of these beautiful animals is hot and "buggy" work. Since I'm outside so much I'm worried about getting too much sun and health-threatening ticks, chiggers, and mosquitos. This hat certainly keeps the sun off. It is big enough to keep sun off my head, face, neck, and even my shoulders. I'm a small woman so I find the hat pretty big although given the protection I'm seeking that isn't a bad thing. I'm not sure of it's bug repelling abilities since I haven't been using it for very long. I'm pleased enough with how it handles the sun so if it also helps to keep pesty critters off that is a bonus.
