You can feel casual, but well-dressed in the Drover. Very versatile, would recommend. Comfortable, classic look. Great value, too.
Fabric thin and very wrinkled By Kate the Great! from Westerville, OH on 09/09/2009 Cons: Irregular Size, Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat looked terrible on me. It didn't fit at all. It was very wrinkled looking out of the box. The fabric was thin. Needless to say, I returned it.

Bought it, liked it, returned it By Wild Zoo Lady from Salt Lake City, UT on 04/20/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Liked the style, loved the red color and didn't really mind the wrinkles because it fit well and looked good on. But when I wore it once I was bothered by the stiffness of the fabric and the way the front "lining" flopped open, especially when I sat. Also the button-on collar piece was missing from my coat. Regretfully, I returned it.
By Ani from Chicago on 04/15/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great red color. However, if one wants a wrinkle free coat, this is NOT the answer. It requires steaming to take out the wrinkles before and after wearing. Style is classic. Size up. I would usually wear a L and this did not fit. Too tight around the chest to be able to put a sweater underneath.
Finally a worthy replacement By DRT from Berkeley, CA on 04/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office, Rainy days, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a worthy replacement for an olive-drab trench coat that I wore virtually daily (except when it was too hot for a coat) for at least 10 years, and that finally was so tatty that I had to give it up. This looks to be good for another 20!
It is as descibed, urban and country. By Wild Zoo Lady from Salt Lake City, UT on 04/08/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'd returned the short version because it looked dumpy on me. But the dark red color and great sale price persuaded me to take a chance on the long one. This is a very different coat from the short. More tailored, more flattering on me. I'm a 12 and the medium's a good fit. On the down side, it did arrive wrinkled. And the little button-on collar piece was missing from my coat, even though the buttons were there. Wondering if this coat's a return and someone forgot to include it. Keeping it anyway.
By College Prof from Terre Haute, IN on 03/19/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Stylish Cons: Snug fit for an overcoat Best Uses: Office, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the look and weight of the coat, but feel I can't really wear it over a jacket. If I wear it over a sweater or shirt, it's fine. But when I wear a raincoat, I'm usually wearing it to protect my dress clothes (which include jackets) from the rain.
I'll click 'Yes, I would recommend', but with the proviso that the friend know that it is snug over a jacket.
Great dark olive overcoat By Warrigal from Australia on 03/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a terrific dark olive - darker than it looks on my monitor, and the colour really makes the coat. Unlike other respondents I don't think this runs big, but in my mind overcoats are generous, work over layers (think aran knits, not sleek modern ski shells) and blouse freely over lighter clothing - so if you covet that coat-dress, fitted look than by all means go down a size. Tall punters should note that the belt loops are set at a height suitable for the average woman (5'3-5'6'), and that while these can be easily lowered a little you will find that you will be belting over the very top of the pocket placket (I just let 'em dangle myself). This is a practical, comfortable coat but the dense polycotton wrinkles easily - you'll need to steam press it out of the box if this matters to you. The classic English design may be a little wellies-and-headscarves for some but I like it - somehow understated, and you'll never look like you're trying too hard. Finally, the lining is in fact partial - the front is lined with the pockets incorporated in those layers, the back appears to have a self-lining bonded to the inside of the fabric.
