The softest wool you will EVER feel, with a roomy fit that allows it to be worn with a sweater underneath. And at the Barn Burners price, I felt like I was stealing it! I look forward to MANY years with this coat. Thanks Sierra Trading Post!

By ann from germantown, MD on 01/10/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Great workmanship detail, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a wonderful coat. It is very versatile. I like the separating zipper under the toggle ties. The interior zipped pocket and cell phone pocket are handy for commuting and travel. The sleeves are slightly long on me, but sleeve length is not really a problem, especially for cold weather use. I could not be more happy with this coat.
By Vickie from Morristown, TN on 01/09/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat is a great find. It does, however, run one size too large. I'm glad I read the reviews so I ordered one size smaller and it fits perfectly. The coat is very well crafted. I was concerned after reading some of the reviews about it not being lined; but it does have a wool lining with a couple of hidden pockets. I hope to find it on a barn burner deal again because I will definitely order another one in a different color!
Finest Coat I Have Ever Owned By Notinks from Frigid South Dakota on 01/07/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Quality fabric, Versatile, Warm, Well-made Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the finest coat I have ever owned. You can definitely see the quality in the weight and feel of the fabric and the details of the design. I ordered it in white and was pleased to find that it was a winter white as I had been hoping. Only problem is I ordered a 42 because the 40's were sold out in the colors I wanted. I may return it for a 40 in another color, as it is a bit baggy unless I wear a heavy sweater or jacket underneath. You do need to wear a scarf on very cold days, as the neck doesn't come up very high.

John Partridge Short Duffle Coat - Hoode By coat & sweater addicted from Salt Lake City, Utah on 01/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The wool was fabulous on this coat and it is well made. But I am unclear about the original price of [$], since the coat does not merit this expense. It needs a liner, and it is not as warm as I thought it should be. The sizes are wrong. I wear a sixteen (40) and I had to send the first coat back and reordered a size 12 (36) which fit perfectly. With all the discounts added, the coat was worth the price.
