By Skier from Georgia on 03/12/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Heavy snow days Describe Yourself: Career, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore it to Salt Lake City and had a great time. Stayed comfortable the whole time. Only my fingertips and toes got cold. Much better experience than with my old jacket.
By Lake Effect from Cleveland, OH on 03/08/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Skiing, Travel Describe Yourself: Athletic Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This a fantastic jacket. The quality is superb. While the stow-away hood was chintzy, the reason I returned the jacket is because the cut of the underarm/armpit was too tight. I'm a slender 6'0" and 185 lbs and the Large size was a perfect fit for my 34/35 length arms. When I wore a T-shirt underneath the jacket fit perfectly. But when I wore a fleece underneath the jacket, the fit was too snug in the armpit and it was restrictive.
Can't wait to actually ski in it By Washboard Abs from Omaha on 03/04/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Skiing Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I probably will not use this jacket until next year but it is well made and I am sure it will be my jacket of choice except for the really warm days. It has pockets every where and seals up nice it should keep the powder out. To clarify on size, I ordered a Spyder size XL last year in a similar model and it was too tight so I knew XXL was my best option. I guess I would say they run a little small because the XXL fits well.
