I have purchased Islandic Designs before but the shop where I usually buy them has gone out of business so I went looking for new outlet. I knew what to expect from the brand and was not disappointed (though it was bit large through the chest (I am a size 4). Would love to buy more! waiting for my catalog.

However, they come nowhere near that. [*] The wool is lower-end average quality. The knit is loose larger gauge, not the dense stitches of quality knit wool. On the positive side, it fits well and is comfortable and warm. But the RETAIL price for its quality would more realistically be [$] dollars. This is not a bargain.

Warm and soft. I initially got the large (12-14). I am size 12. The large was too big for me. I exchanged it for size medium (8-10) and it fits perfectly. It would make a bright dressy jacket with a winter outfit or look good in a boho ensemble. It is too nice to be wearing around the yard, but it isn't flimsy. The knit is a fine gauge, tight and smooth.
