This only happens when you are wading in fast water on slippery rocks. I liked them enough to buy another set of soles.

All you have to do is maintain your balance.

I'm sure there are other brands that are more comfortable, or dry faster or whatever. But I haven't seen anything more versatile for the types of fishing I do than Korkers.
Like to fish in both freshwater streams w/ mossy rocks and treacherous saltwater jetties? Easily switch from felt soles, to the studded felt soles...
Have a long trail hike in to the best fishing spots for mountain trout? Then switch from the rubber lugged sole to the felts when you reach the stream...
Only disadvantage is that the boots could be built a little more rugged. I feel wading boots should be built like a tank, to withstand rough use. They hook eyes for the lacing are weak and bend easily, and had a little de-lamination on the toe protector and heel cap after a couple seasons. Unless you're a guide using them every day, you should easily get a few seasons out of them.
This season they just came out with a beefier Guide version, so looks like they're addressing that if you're tough on boots.
But overall they're not expensive relative to competing products and WAY more versatile, so I highly reccomend them.

Grips slimy rocks. And you can switch out to other soles (carbide studded, etc.) for rock jetties, etc. Or buy another without having to glue on more felt.

The basic Korker boot looks like it will last forever. However, over time, the felt part of the sole compresses and walking on hard smooth surfaces can be a challenge and dangerous and the sole need to be replaced. This is the fourth pair of Studded Felt Soles I've purchased in the last two years.

From muddy to algae covered, from rubber studded sole to felt to metal felt studded.
I have both models and they both run narrow, buy at least a size larger, especially if you have wide feet.
