By D from New Ro from NY, NY and trip to FL on 09/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Wet Summer Weather Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This summer has been wet enough that I needed a good waterproof jacket that also did not make me hot. This has been perfect. I even used it in central Florida for the afternoon thunderstorms.
By Betsey's pack leader from Chicago, IL on 08/29/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Walking the dog Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a truly waterproof jacket to wear while walking the dog so I don't have to carry an umbrella. The jacket's been put to the test in a few heavy downpours. My only wish is that it came in a longer version.

By Hiker from Allentown, PA on 08/25/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fit of this is very flattering. The fabric is really comfortable and soft to wear. The sleeves are long enough, which for me (tall) is a rarity. I even roll them up a little which looks nice at the wrist with a little bit of the lining color sticking out. The pockets are attached in such a way that on the inside you have a small inner pocket on both front panels. On the outside pockets, at first I thought the welts were sewn backwards but then I realized that the flap is sewn that way on purpose so that the rain will run off (downward) and not enter the pocket. The shape of the hood is full coverage to keep the rain off your face. There's also a full yoke across the upper back to keep the rain off. I really like this jacket and am so sorry I didn't order in time to get the periwinkle. Nimbus is nice, too..it's a darker, sophisticated-looking grey that can be brightened up with a contrasting color top underneath. I'll have to see if I end up wearing it in warmer weather because it does seem tightly woven and not breathable. That will be great for colder weather, though - warmth with no bulk. It's absolutely worth the price for a Columbia product.

By Loves to Travel from Chillicothe, OH on 08/10/2009 Pros: Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was dry enough and shielded from the cool breezes, however, once the rains were over I needed to take it off immediately. Not very breathable!

By knotsue from Germany on 07/07/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This Jacket is very nice looking and not bulky - rolls small enough to fit inside a sandlebag type
purse and does not come out wrinkled. I am tall 5'11" and it fits me perfect in sleeves and back lenght. Might be too long in sleeves for shorter people. For the price I paid, it is the buy of the year....and got here just in time for my trip to Scandinavia. Thanks for offering this great Columbia product.
