It hits mid-thigh. It has plenty of width, too. I'm a size 12 and had lots of material to tie into a knot at the side. Looks great, doesn't wrinkle, and is very soft.

But was disappointed to realize that it was just a rectangular piece of fabric. I have other pareos that are sewn with a band across the top so the fabric doesn't all bunch up at the waist. That's why I returned the product.

The fabric (I got black) is nifty, but not soft, and quite sheer.

It is very thin and when tied does not hang like the photo at all as you have to tie so much of it, it just clings and cups the rear. I am not especially small as far as the amount of the corners I have to tie.
The color is very nice and vibrant and would go with many of the bathing suits out there.
I plan to return it.
