Different colors sized differently! By Outdoor Professional's Wife from Birmingham, AL on 07/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Poor Fit, Short is not short Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Husaband owns this pant in cigar color (I think) in an XL "short". He was pleased that the stride was short as he has difficultly finding a short-strided pant. He is an outdoor professional and needs ease of movement. Suprisingy, this exact same pant in the khaki color in an XL "short" does NOT have a short stride. ---full 2" longer. What a disappointment. Am returning the pair he has not worn.

In really hot weather they are such a pleasure-light and cool. I brought other shorts but these were the most comfortable, then, when it gets cooler at night, you have a nice pair of casual slacks.

By OB 1 from Talladega, Alabama on 06/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, outside work Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore these pants for first time yesterday, and they were great. Hiked through rock gardens, overgrown trails, bugs, and poison ivy and the pants were what I had hoped they would be. I reckon one of the best features was how light and "breathable" they were. In Alabama weather when the only thing higher than the 90+ degree weather is the humidity, these pants were wonderful. I just ordered a second pair.

We prefer wearing them to using DEET(less
messy and smelly) and they work as well if not
better than using DEET.
