ready to buzz off to the far east By travelgal from western ma on 04/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Cons: Kind of a high waist Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Touristing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We are going to vietnam where it's a really good idea to avoid mosquitoes. I am pleased to have the extra buzz off layers of protection. All the buzz off shirts and pants I've ordered are true to size, nice fit, good quality- you do get what you pay for.
The "air strip" ex officio pants have a better fit- lower on the waist. These are kind of "mom jeans" in the way they fit, but the zip off -to shorts- is a nice feature.

I bought it because I am expecting lots of bugs in my destination. I am a mosquito magnet and have not had a single bug attack yet. This really works. The pants fit well. I only wish Sierra Trading Post carried more of these pants in my size (petite)
By Kellergirl from Texas on 04/16/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Challenge course, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are great! They truely are a petite length and fit. The weight is perfect for spring and fall in N. Texas and with the zip off - will work for three seasons. They are a bit baggy or loose fitting; I'd say they are built for comfort vs. style

Nice to have pre treated for bugs so we have one less item to spray with permethrin before we go on trip to Alaska. Pretreatments really work to repel mosquitoes and ticks in the wilderness. Thin material is not necessarily a con but may need to layer in cool climates.
