These are wonderful pants By soprisue from Glenwood Springs, Colorado on 07/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only disappointing thing about these pants is that they've been discontinued. I definitely would have purchased at least 2 more pairs if they'd been available, but when I tried, I was informed that this was the last pair available in my size. I searched the web for other sellers, but found no other pairs in my size. Then I searched the web for any other hiking pants that might sit at my natural waist, like these pants do, also without success. The fabric is soft and cool in hot weather and stain-resistant and very comfortable. Wish I could buy more of them!
By Kathy on the Trail from Lafayette, CA on 05/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the pants but they are way too small. I tried to give them to my sister (who wears a size 6, usually), but the 10s were even too small on her. I would love to try a larger size, but they aren't available. Otherwise great pants that would be perfect for travel and outdoor wear.
By soprisue from Colorado on 05/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I searched and searched online and in local sports shops for hiking pants that would fit at my natural waist, and finally found these pants. I ordered the very last pair in size 12 from Sierra Trading Post. Wish they had more!! I would buy them all. I can't understand the industry changing the pants standard so all their pants sit below the natural waist. At 66, I have worn my pants at my natural waist all my life. I find the low-rise pants very uncomfortable. Surely there must be a huge population of baby boomers and older women who still want to hike in lightweight comfortable pants that fit them the way pants always used to fit! Maybe we need to band together and approach the clothing companies about meeting our needs in addition to the needs of all those young things who like to have their hips hugged by their pants.
