By Jeep2000 from Central IL on 04/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Stylish, Washes Well Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants have a nice style; love the buttons. Speaking of which, one of the buttons used to secure the cuffs when rolled up came off in the wash the first time I washed them.
They were much too long for me, but after a round in the dryer the length is just about perfect.
By Karen from Long Island on 03/30/2009 Cons: Falls Too Low Below The Waist, Poor Fit Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm disappointed that I can't keep these because they have some great features
- Will pack really small
- VERY comfortable fabric -- they don't look stretchy but have lots of stretch
- Verdigris was an odd pick for me, but a great color.
- Has lots of pockets but they aren't prominent so they look fine (Leg pocket would hold a passport)
- reinforced pockets.
However, the cons
- I ordered a size down and they're still too big. (I can pull them off without unbuttoning.)
- The waist is low and so big that I don't think a smaller size will work for me.
- I'm 5'3", so the buttoning to capris doesn't work for me. (I would hem for pants if they worked otherwise.
- The inside the hem trim is (as stated) just in the back, but it looks like a mistake to me.
If you're tall and like low cut pants order a much smaller size.
By wv from dc on 03/20/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm usually a size 4, this size 2 falls right off me. I'm going to wash it and see if it shrinks like the shirts they make. Otherwise, I'll take up sewing...
Great, lightweight summer pants By Hiker from Boulder, CO on 03/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish, Washes Well Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants run large (as I am finding with many Aventura pants). I bought 2 sizes down to get the right fit...but I love them! They are really lightweight, with the perfect amount of stretch.
By CAMom from RPV, CA on 03/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish, Washes Well, Wrinkle-Free Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I originally purchased a pair of these pants over a year ago, and was thrilled to find them still available through Sierra. I loved them then, and they fit my figure (pear shape, short waist) even better now (before I was a 16, now an 8!). As other reviews say, these are sized large and your ego will feel great as you size down a size (at least). The fabric is extremely comfortable with slight stretch, but still organic cotton. The weight is light, perfect for travelling (my favorite airplane pants), errands, or even camping. May even get more!
great product, just sized big By Amazon Lisa from Asheville, NC on 03/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish, Washes Well, Wrinkle-Free Cons: A bit short in length, Sized way too large Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are comfortable, nice looking pants, and made with organic cotton! The bit of stretch in them is nice, too. Just make sure to order small. I ordered one size smaller than i usually wear and they are still rather loose.
Love these pants! Came back to buy more! By Alpphy from Dallas TX on 02/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish, Washes Well, Wrinkle-Free Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these pants. The weight is perfect for the summer (thin but appears sturdy) and the detail fabric on the back side of the cuff is fun. I did take them to my tailor to have the waist taken in, but I do this with every pants/shorts I buy. I wear a size 6 and the sizing was perfect. Not tight and the leg is just right (not tapered)
By volmom from knoxville, Tn on 02/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Stylish, Washes Well Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These sit on the hips, and they waistband is large enough to allow for that. If you have narrow hips these wouldn't be for you.
By bugsmom from Upper Midwest on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very cute pants; lightweight--definitely summer wear. On me, they did fit a little snug around the waist/stomach area, but not enough to order a larger size. They do sit rather low, so if you don't think you'd be comfortable with that, you may want to pass on these.
By Just Me from Memphis, TN on 12/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Light weight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like these because I can roll them up to aviod getting mud on them in the fall. I love to wear them at the dog park and have encountered muddy, happy dogs, and the pants have washed well. I have worn them to work a couple of times as dress pants on casual days. The buttons are pretty noticable, so only casual, not really dressy. Comfortable also for traveling. Get a size smaller than usual. Sits nicely low on the hips. (My belly button needs to breathe!)
