The fit is slim but not "skinny" and is quite fashionable. For the type of jeans they are, i did not find the rise to be particularly low and the pockets are usable, which is not always the case with such jeans. Also, legs are not crazy long like some trendier jeans. Overall pleased but they fit best on slim frame so a gut is unlikely to work here.
By m.k. from richmond on 03/22/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Great Fit, High Quality Material, Holds Color Well, Versatile Style Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Trendy Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great pair of jeans! Design is really nice. The fade is subtle but very sophisticated.
Many Factory Imperfections By Scott from Canada on 02/09/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: There must have been a tool set-up problem when these jeans were manufactured. The jeans have many cuts in the fabric, to the point of being unwearable!
By Chris from San Rafael on 12/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Great Fit Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these jeans. The waist is true to size. If you're used to Gap or Lucky, they are oversized. Use a measuring tape to see what size your favourite jeans really are. These are low rise, soft inside, and brushed outside.
By Paula from San Diego, CA on 12/13/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Great Fit, High Quality Material, Not baggy, Versatile Style Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these jeans for my partner, who is hard to fit and please. He loves the jeans, although I thought they looked a little too fancy (the fabric). Actually, they do look good on him. He will use these jeans for every day and also for performing singing, for which he wears classic cowboy attire. I don't know about the fading, etc., bucause we haven't washed them yet.
By Mavi Lover from Toronto on 11/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, High Quality Material, Versatile Style Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Wear Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been a long time buyer of Mavi Jeans, and this pair jeans shows why. As expected, the fabric is just wonderful. Admittedly, I was a bit worried that they might be a bit snug as viewing the pics and reading previous comments, but I was so relieved that they fit perfectly. I'm a waist 30 or 31 so I went with 31. I have to say, of the four items I've bought from Sierra, this was the cheapest and my favorite!

Not quite what you may expect By Eric C. from New York on 08/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, High Quality Material, Versatile Style Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I actually owned a pair of Mavi Pierre jeans in a lighter wash, [...] Usually, I am a size 30 or 31 waist and 30 inseam but with the Pierre jeans, I had to get a 32 waist. The jeans are low-rise so if you're not used to having jeans sit on or right above where your butt meets your waist, try another pair of jeans. I'm a big fan of Mavi Jeans and the Pierre is no exception. If you're considering buying this, just make sure to take into account the trendy low-rise and straight-leg fit.
These pants hug the body...too much By Traveling Couple from Kaiserslautern, Germany on 04/27/2008 Cons: Too small, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Casual, Semi-stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm usually a solid 34 length x 32 inseam jean size. Sometimes that's even a bit large for me if I've trimmed up. These jeans were very tight and hugged a bit too much if you know what I mean. They seem like quality and stylish but I couldn't wear them. Those that are stick thin would probably love them though.
By mavi-fan from sunnyvale, ca on 04/20/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, High Quality Material, Holds Color Well, Versatile Style Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Career, Casual, Trendy Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The jean material is first rate, thick and soft denim material. The problem with this one is that at the waist, it is too low. I know it is a low rising jean, but this jean was cut so low that I had the instinctive gut-feeling to keep pulling my pants up because it felt like my pants was being pulled down. Otherwise material and craftsman is top-notch, but the low low cut at the waist made it uncomfortable.
