Light weight, convenient pockets By Joe the sailor from Raleigh NC on 10/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Convenient pockets, Dries Quickly, Lightweight Cons: Poor Material or Construction Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these pants for casual wear and when I'm likely to get wet like sailing or hiking. I really like the pocket arrangement because I can carry my keys, wallet & cell phone without them bulking out any pocket. The fit well with a built in belt as well as an elastic section in the waist. On the down side, they took construction shortcuts with the stitching and the fabric doesn't hold up very well to abrasion. These are not rugged shorts for rough wear. At the close-out price I bought several pair.

Good features, poor quality By JH Orienteer from Raleigh NC on 09/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Good pockets, Lightweight Cons: Construction shortcuts, Sewing errors Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were sold as seconds, and the price was right, so I wasn't too upset about the poor quality stitching. I had to repair the belt and a fold that was caught in a seam. Lots of shortcuts were taken in the construction, so I don't expect them to last too long. That said, they are light and comfortable, fit well and have good pocket configuration. The price was so good I bought two more. I'll use them for sailing and hiking.
By Seth from Montana on 09/10/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: They feel about 2" to small around the waist for the sizing listed. Order a size larger if you want a comfortable fit

By DonZ from Connecticut on 07/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shorts are great due to the adjustable waistline. As many of us experience changing waistlines from winter to summer these shorts are ready to go from the first warm day.
By flyfisher from farmington, NM on 07/08/2009 Cons: Irregular Fit, Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The finishing on these shorts was terrible with lots of poorly finished edges. Needless to say they were sent right back.
By Bruce the dad from Hershey, PA on 06/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice lightweight shorts. One con: they have no snap or button at the waist, but depend on the web belt to keep them closed. The fit is just a bit small, so there is often a funny gap at the top of the waist closure. Otherwise these are great shorts and will get a lot of use.
