By Julilla from Wenatchee, WA on 08/20/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Blocks Out Light, Easy To Hang, Quality Construction Best Uses: Bedroom, Privacy, Small Windows Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was drawn to these curtains because of their insulating properties, and ordered a couple of sets -- one in linen stripe and one in sage. When I opened the packages, the first association that came to mind was, for lack of better an analogy, a 1950s canvas deck chair.
These curtains have a nice, retro-rustic look, and hang well, after a bit of pressing to iron out the package creases. They nicely complement our mid 1950s Beaver Cleaver-type home and would look well in a beach or cabin setting

By C M B from Oshkosh, Wisconsin on 08/13/2008 Pros: Blocks Out Light, Easy To Hang Cons: Poorly Made, Unattractive Design Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought several of these panels after a recent home purchase. The first thing I noticed when I took the panels out of the packages was that the tabs did not line up, that the seams were very sloppily started and stopped, and that the fabric is very wrinkly, a flimsier cotton duck than I found with the tab tops from local chain discount retailer [...] I got for our bathrooms. (Also, one of the panels seemed to be covered in pet hair?!) Hanging these was quite easy once the hardware was installed. However, the panels were marked as 40" panels but were actually 36". For two very wide banks of windows this made a tremendous difference. The one good thing I can say is that they did block light...and thank goodness for the easy returns policy with Sierra Trading Post! I love a bargain as much as the next person, but these were no bargain. I went to a local home store and got drapes for almost the same price that are much better quality. First time STP has let me down!

just as advertised and good quality By Skimixter from Simsbury, CT on 08/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Blocks Out Light, Easy To Hang, Quality Construction Best Uses: Bedroom, Den, Privacy Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was looking for curtains for a den/office that went with the oriental rug and furniture and one that would block out light from a nearby street light when den was used as a guest room with a pullout couch. Works perfectly.
unexciting, but covers the window By smart shopper from Hayward, CA on 07/29/2008 Pros: Blocks Out Light, Easy To Hang Describe Yourself: Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I don't feel it was a "bargain", but you got just about "what you paid for" - the quoted orignal price would have been too high for the quality of the product and I would have returned them if I had paid "full price"
