By froggy from cleveland ohio on 11/10/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very nice. These are an attractive and absorbent coaster. very nice indeed. You will be surprised just how absorbent they are. They do take stains (like tea) but personally I think it looks neat. It looks like the design of the stone for some reason.
By Dreamer from 29 Palms, CA on 09/19/2008 Best Uses: On wood furniture Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband has been known to throw coasters across the room when they stick to the bottom of his glass. To save our sanity, I bought these coasters and they have been a blessing. He begged me to buy more and when I went back onto STP they were gone. So I bought some souvenir sandstone coasters with the picture on top which don't absorb half as well as these. I was very excited to see that STP is carrying the coasters again and I am going to buy a few more sets so I can have them in every room in my house.
By ginger from staten island on 01/22/2008 Best Uses: To put drinks on maybe Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i love these. bought them for my boyfriend 'cause his mom commented that he needed coasters, and i knew it wasn't something he would think to get for himself. being someone who likes things that are natural and simple i knew he would appreciate them. i was going to order a wooden stand or holder for them, but he likes them just resting on top of one another on the lower shelf of his coffee table. i like the natural variations in the stone and the fact that they are absorbent. so far we haven't noticed any annoying sandy residue being left behind on the table as other reviewers have said. these are also a better value than a better known brand that makes similar ones, and these look better cause they aren't printed with images that try to imitate the natural patterns in stone--they are just perfectly content to be the naturally imperfect stone coasters that they are.
just coasters, plain and simple By ibbob from up north on 01/03/2008 Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These coasters do the job without cutesy slogans or decorations. Exactly what I wanted at a good price.

We have a home on a fairway. These were bought as a gift for our Son and Daughter-in-Law who live in Amador (wine country) California. They also have several sets, but plain like these. They use them for entertaining on their deck and wine parties.
