By teacher from western washington on 12/30/2008 Pros: Blocks Out Light, Easy To Clean, Easy To Hang, Quality Construction Best Uses: Bedroom, Living Room, Privacy Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these to keep out the cold this winter and we have noticed a significant difference in the warmth of our home since I've installed these in every room. I was expecting the fabic to be a bit shiny-a bit more fancy-but they are insulated curtains so no complaints. The gold color is a very rich, dark color. They were very wrinkly when removed from packaging. A tumble in the dryer with a damp towel fixed that right up. They were easy to hang. Again, I cannot stress how they keep out the cold. Those looking for total black-out curtains, look elsewhere as these do darken the room, but they are not black-out curtains. Oh, note that they are rather narrow and we have very wide windows so I just purchased 2 sets for each window and that works just fine.
Good curtains, great price By Not applicable from Maryland on 12/29/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Hang, Quality Construction Best Uses: Living Room, Privacy Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We needed insulated curtains for a sliding glass door. These were perfect. We got the natural color and like the fact that they let some light through. If you're looking for heavy drapes, this is not for you. But because they're not heavy you don't need a heavy-duty rod.
By the way, if you're putting these on a full-size sliding door, buy two sets. Technically the two 40" panels will cover a slider, but only barely. We just ordered a second set and will use a third panel so they'll hang more drape-like. You can't beat Sierra's prices for the quality.
Great-looking Window Insulation By N. Ogg from Cape Girardeau, MO on 12/26/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Blocks Out Light, Easy To Clean, Easy To Hang, Quality Construction Best Uses: Bedroom, Kitchen, Living Room, Privacy Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have various sizes and colors of these curtains in my kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining room and entry hall. In most of those sites, the Kimlor curtains hang behind the regular curtains to provide a layer of insulation. If you like simple styling, though, they are nice-looking and good quality at an affordable price. I've not noticed defects in any of those I've ordered, and I'm quite happy with them.
We've bought 8 pairs of these! By Candy from VA on 12/16/2008 Pros: Easy To Hang, Great Color, Quality Construction Best Uses: Bedroom, Living Room, Privacy Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My son lives in an old house that has little insulation in the walls or windows. These curtains have really made a difference in the temperature in his place.
Perfect for keeping heat from rising By msandi from Troy, NY on 12/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Blocks Out Light, Easy To Hang, Great Color Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are in our hallway to keep the heat from going upstairs and the furnace from running frequently. They look great and work well. Plus they help keep the noise from the TV going up to the bedrooms.
Cheap but keeps out the elements By Lisa from Wilmette, IL on 11/30/2008 Cons: cheap looking, Imperfections, Low-Quality Fabric Best Uses: Bedroom, Privacy Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have bought more than 10 packages of these curtains in various lengths for a rental house I am living in that faces a windy body of water. I am happy that the curtains are a big help in keeping out cold and wind. But they are so cheap looking, I would never use them in an area that I cared about in my 'real'house. I have found a few imperfections (some kind of ink looking spots and splotch on the vinyl side). Clearly low budget stuff.
Also, they come wrinkled and it is extremely difficult to get them looking OK. I ironed them without luck. I lightly sprayed them with water and put them in the dryer (my usual sure fire method) but they looked worse. Finally, I just hung them and am waiting for the wrinkles to eventually hang themselves out.
I would recommend these for a cheap, temporary solution to cold.

By Handygirl from Alta,Ca on 11/14/2008 Pros: Blocks Out Light, Easy To Hang, Great Color, Quality Construction Best Uses: Bedroom, Privacy Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: LOved the color (red) and the good part is the backing is white so it looks good on the outside of the house. Does a good job of blocking the light, but allow extra length for above and below the window
By Betty Buyer from Eagle, CO on 11/13/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Blocks Out Light, Easy To Hang, Great Color, Quality Construction Cons: Hard to press out wrinkle Best Uses: Bedroom, Privacy Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an attractive curtain that keeps out light. A very good deal for the price! I had a hard time pressing out the wrinkles because the fabric is so sturdy.
