It needed to have a pleasant feel for bare feet. This rug fit all the criteria. It's terrific, and looks great with the gray-blue walls.

It is perfect for that space and works well with all the furnishings.

When the winter months are past, I'll use it in front of the sink/counter in the kitchen since it is comfortable underfoot and does not curl up to trip you, and it's nonetheless thin as rugs go. I haven't washed it yet, but it vacuums well.
