By Laurie from River Falls WI on 10/15/2009 Cons: Poor design for treat Best Uses: Anywhere - not messy Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: dog can only get top part of treat - you will have to then remove the bottom half. My dogs really enjoy it and it was a good price. I got a free pack of refills with each bone so I got an awesome deal! If you don't mind some extra work the value was to big to pass! I would not give to dogs in a kennel. I supervise with these bones that have parts that can come apart.
By Teller Arms from Colorado Springs, Co on 09/10/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Unique Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I put the treats in the bone and gave it to my dog and before I could put away the package she had eaten all of the treats out and chewed up the bone part enough that it was difficult to re-load it. Kind of a hit and miss on this one.

Difficult to refill & doesn't last By black and tan in alaska from Anchorage, AK on 08/24/2009 Cons: Hard to refill, Heavy Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is indeed solid and will last forever.
You slide the treat into a channel. The dog then chews the available treat leaving the remains stuck in the channel. ---1) The problem is getting the remains out. The toy has this little device you are supposed to use, but they need to give you a pair of vice grips too. The only way to get the leftovers out without scratching up your hands on the sharp edges of the toy (created by the dog chewing on it) is to soak it in warm water for a bit. Then it slides right out. ---2) While this is easily solved with the hot water, you will discover that after 2 or 3 uses, you can no longer get treats into the channels because your dog has chewed the edges up. ---3) Finally, it really doesn't last any longer than anything else. The dogs quickly chew up what they can reach, fiddle for a bit trying to get the rest out and then decide it isn't worth the effort. My dogs will go through a fully loaded one about 5 minutes. On the upside, they do like the jerky treats it comes with.
By shel-ship from k.c. on 08/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a big dog, about one year old. She enjoyed this snack holder for dogs, but was able to make teeth marks in the object within several minutes of eating the snacks.
By Love my hounds!! from Ticonderoga, NY on 08/15/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Bright, Unique Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The product concept is GREAT and the dogs absolutely loved it unfortunately, the materials used for the center of the bone become "dented" with constant chewing and render it difficult to refill with more rawhide. I used a screwdriver to remove the rawhide that the dogs just couldn't get out, but was only able to refill one of the four channel's with rawhide, since the dogs had seriously dented the other three. Using a metal file probably would have worked to clear the channel, but I decided to go online and purchase the new and improved version of the toy to give that a try.
Not designed well but it's the dog's fav By Jive and Slim's Mom from St. Louis, MO on 08/11/2009 Pros: Dog Favorite, Unique Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 1. A great price.
2. A poor design - once my dog chewed it the first time I could no longer get the new rawhide pieces into the slots.
3. My dog's favorite toy - she'll pick a fight with anyone if they try to take it away. She'll shew it all day.
By Nate from Raleigh, NC on 08/10/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Unique Cons: Hard to remove used piece Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We lost the "key" that came with the package because we threw it away before we knew to look for it. This key is supposed to clean out the remaining bit of rawhide, I just used a screwdriver instead. My dog LOVES this toy
Great product at an even greater price!! By trouper from bolivar ohio on 08/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My golden retriever loves these bones..
Lasted 15 minutes, can't refill By Berner Mom from Golden, CO on 07/27/2009 Cons: Easily destroyed, Not durable Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I read all the reviews, and decided to try these. I bought 2, 1 for each dog. Now I wish I'd trusted the reviews that said that within minutes, they were destroyed. I also used pliers, and was able to only remove 2 out of 8 treats. Good in theory, useless in reality.
