Great all around trail shoe By WVMtnRunner from Beverly, WV on 08/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, fairly light, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you buy the new Cascadia's, consider sizing up a whole size. They run small and the mesh does not stop your feet from sliding on steep downhills leading to some toe discomfort without sizing up.
By Jon from Milwaukee on 08/05/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for light hiking trips and occasional jogging on the trail. I have wider feet so they give a bit of a pinch after an hour or so. I'm impressed the the quality and they breath pretty well.

Uncharacteristically uncomfortable! By TriDan from Cleveland on 06/19/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I run in Brooks all the time, but these trail shoes are narrow, and have a high/hard sidewall that irritates the underside of my ankle. I'm sending them back:(

By The gaudy runner from Larkspur, CO on 06/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Trail running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Brooks Cascadia has been a trusted companion through the Pikes Peak Marathon and Ascent as well as routine trail runs through the Pikes National Forest. The tread doesn't wear out, the traction has minimized my racing falls on the trail, and they fit well. I'm still waiting for a neutral brown and forest green; my kids called me "Captain Yellowjacket" in my previous mustard yellow and black Cascadias's but I rarely need to be fashionable on the trail.

I do half trail and half paved trail running, and I am able to use the shoe for both. Great comfort, flexibility and cushion all in one.
