By Ladyof WestBaden from West Baden Springs, IN on 12/29/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Looks Great, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought two pairs of these at the higher price for my twin sons who do lots of walking and running as valets for a casino/hotel. They work in all kinds of weather and needed a substantial shoe. When the first pairs arrived, we saw they really lived up to the Red Wing reputation and quickly ordered two more pairs to put on the shelf. Great purchase[...]. Will keep an eye out for more Red Wings through Sierra Traders.

They still feel a little stiff, but have started to break in after only a couple of days of light wear. I expect they will only continue to become more comfortable in time.

By Doc Riter from Albany, CA on 12/20/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Looks good Cons: Not Enough Cushioning, Slippery Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes look pretty good, though not "stylish" (whatever that means). The soles have shallow lugs, which are OK on dirt or grass, but the rubber is very hard, which makes them feel a bit stiff and jarring on hard surfaces. Also, they don't give much traction on slippery surfaces such as wet metal gratings or wet wooden decks. Other than that, they're pretty comfortable. The leather construction and roomy toe box makes them breathe better than most athletic shoes.
