Great warmth for a great price By Senior Trip Leader from Chattanooga, TN on 03/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a 44 regular, that means a medium in this jacket, but when I got the jacket it was a hair too small. I reordered a large.
By WarmNAlaska from Denali National Park, Alaska on 03/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased a very similar Sierra Designs down jacket from Sierra Trading Post a number of years ago, and basically wore it out. It was my favorite jacket for moderately cold weather (-20 and above), as it is super lightweight, warm and very comfortable. I recently purchased the Sierra Designs Nebulon down jacket, and it is even better than the older version. I really like the light weight, but for really cold weather I wear my heavy-duty parka which weighs about four times as much as the Nebulon, and is very bulky. Here in interior Alaska the Nebulon jacket is totally adequate for most of the year, and for the price, comfort and styling, it is great. It is a no frills jacket, but at 1.25 pounds it keeps the chill off and is very comfortable.
By Serendipity from Bangor Maine on 03/20/2009 Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm surprised at how lightweight and insubstantial this jacket is after reading its description. I'm sure it would work out for some people and some uses, but I am returning it.

Really Bhitchen' Down Jacket By Flee from Brentwood, Calfiornia on 03/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stuffable, Warm Cons: Does not stop bullets Best Uses: Being toasty, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket for the price. Just enough fill to give you warmth, yet not overheat. Fits well under my shell jacket. Best trick of the jacket? Built in stuff sack that zips closed into a very compact package. Perfect for late spring through early fall in the Sierras.
