These feel and fit alot like "Crocs"- a little extra length, a little extra width. I don't really think sizing down is a good idea. If you are familiar with the way Crocs fit or are looking for a loose comfortable type of fit, just order your normal size. Not too happy with how you can see toes through the holes, but I will get used to it. I personally would not wear them with sox. Wish there were better colors.
