Runs 2 sizes too small but a great buy By TexanaBob from Austin, Tx. on 12/25/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Snug, Tough Cons: Runs 2 sizes too small Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Casual Rider, Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great value at the price I paid . The price did not last long and went up after I recieved it.
By takeo from Japan on 12/20/2008 Best Uses: Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The under fastener of the liner was not sewn for me.
It sewed for myself.
And the lock button of the sleeve came off.
Because it was possible to buy it cheaply, a detailed trouble is satisfactory
though it was.
beautifully made and a great price By ravenranger from AZ on 12/17/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Off-Road, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great jacket and extremely well made. However it is very slim in the hips and could really use an adjustment there. It's definitely a winter only jacket as there are no vents.
Nice jacket - previous reviews helped By Fireman Bob from carving a canyon somewhere on 12/14/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Thanks to those who reviewed this jacket previously. Your comments helped me make the correct sizing decision. This jacket is extremely well made and comfortable. I am glad I bought it. The sizing appears to be 1.5 sizes small. I usually wear a large and occasionally a medium, depending on the brand. I bought an XL and it fits perfectly. However, there is no room for multiple or bulky layers under the jacket.
Phenomenal design and craftsmanship By Chip from Upper Peninsula of Michigan on 12/06/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Off-Road, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Casual Rider, Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The addition of the thermal lining and protective pads make the jacket feel bulky. After removing some but not all of the protective padding and fleece lining the jacket fit comfortably. It is not the type of jacket one puts on and says "wow, a perfect fit". It takes some adjustment to fine tune it to riding conditions. I do plan on getting the companion pants.
By Steve from Carlisle, PA on 12/04/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection Motorsports: Casual Rider, Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very well made and versatile. Impressive warmth: with the zip in liner, I've worn it below 20F/-7C and been perfectly comfortable. Lots of storage and adjustments. The combination of leather and internal armor provide adequate protection. Long lenght provides extra protection.
But as other reviewers have said, it's necessary to order at least one if not two sizes above normal. I went one size and it works, but there's not a milimeter to spare if I'm wearing 2 or 3 layers under it. And I can't snap the neck guard. If it was available, I would have ordered two sizes above my normal.
By KTM 950 from NY on 12/02/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Casual Rider, Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: What a jacket. Very well made, durable, heavy and real nice looking. A super product. It does run small though. I am 6-1", 210lbs with a muscular build and the xxl fits good but not alot of room to spare. I usually wear an xl. It fits the way most riding jackets fit-snug. A person with a heavy build or big gut may find it too small. The liner and armour take up alot of the room. A awesome jacket at an insane price!!!
Glad I read the previous reviews. By Vesper Cocktail Drinker from Northern Calif. on 12/01/2008 Best Uses: Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered two sizes above my usual, as recommended by another reviewer. I ordered a XL, when I am typically M or L (6', 160#). There's still room around my middle if I choose, or need, to wear a vest.
The coat feels bullet-proof and is warm. I haven't exposed myself to storms or bullets as yet, but should the need arise, this will be my go-to coat.
By Scott Abraham from Seattle on 11/17/2008 Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Extremely undersized. I have a different Hein Gericke in an XXL that fits perfectly, but could barely squeeze into this one, no way to zip it up. Looked like it would have worked great. Order at least one size up. Had to return mine.
Nice...too bad it's winter. By j-walker from j_walker on 11/14/2008 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Good quality, Great value, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wish I'd bought this jacket first. I haven't ridden with it yet as the snow's already flying but should be perfect for the Spring. I ordered a size up and it proved to be a wise call. Jacket seems sturdy and warm.
