By burnsey from walla walla, wa on 12/04/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these because I previously had a pair of Timberlands that were some of the best shoes I've ever had. As the other reviews note, the upper is very lightweight synthetic material. The material made a 'flop' sound at every step. The front of the toe also curls over to pinch my toes at every step, presumably due to the lightweight upper. May be ok for gym or running, but not everyday wear. I'll be returning these.
By choc from long island, ny on 07/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: use them for walking around the mall, going out with friends, etc. the uppers are fabric and somewhat fragile (easy to tear, stain ). still, they look great and keep your feet cool if you sweat like i do.

The upper is too thin I think. Does not look good when wearing.
By Tony from Santa Monica on 04/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Cons: Fabric Prone Early Wear Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Timberland tends to be small sized; being Made in China it is somewhat prone to early wearing; fabric on main shoe top is prone to early wear; not really intended for full trail use but more for daily wear
