Nice shorts, but not quite as described. By chickenlady from Boston MA on 04/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality Cons: Falls Too Low Below The Waist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well made shorts, but be wary that they fall well below the natural waist.
Lightweight, great sun protection By jamie from Southern California on 03/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great sun protection, Lightweight, Washes Well Best Uses: Beach, On The Weekend, River Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these mainly to get water-friendly shorts with great sun protection. These fit the bill. I wouldn't use them like board shorts to swim in, but they're great for beach walks, hikes and similar moderate activity, and they'll definitely make the pack list for my next river trip, outdoor music festival, and other places where I'm interested in sun protection. (This is where the two lengths make these shorts more versatile: at full length, they cover most of my thighs, which is great; where sun protection is less important, you can make them shorter. But I love the longer length, both for coverage and look.) They are also lightweight and quick-drying. Great pockets! The ripstop nylon fabric has that, well, nylon fabric look and feel, but that's the tradeoff for the light weight and better sun protection. The Tidal color is very cool.
By cherierowderrn from Austin, TX on 03/18/2008 Cons: runs small, too short Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Conservative Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shorts were too short for me and fit much tighter than the capris by the same company. I ordered one size up from the capris because it said classic fit and the capris said relaxed fit but that was not enough. They were just not flattering on me but then I'm over 60 and need a bit more coverage on my legs.
