We have a few of them in gray and sage. We use silk knits for travel, and like blends with a bit of cotton for a more substantial weight. I have the XS and my husband has the S - it does run about 1 size large. I usually wear mens' S and he a mens' M. However, we are both slim and lanky and this is a great fit, long enough in the body and arms - so I'd say the proportions are good. The shaped hem, neckline, and cuffs give it some shape and warmth too. We've worn these as a base layer and also as a top layer. They hand wash and dry fairly quickly. I only noticed an odor on the gray, not the sage, but I washed them well with a few drops of lavender essential oil when I first got them and they only smell fresh and herbal now.

Now that it's arrived I can tell you the following-firstly it has no odor to it and secondly the size (in my case a M) fit fine. It seems to be well made and a simple but very nice looking shirt that goes well by itself or under a sport coat.

It is 'fine feeling' and not too bulky! Great value...runs plenty long for tall man.

A quality product with peculiar sizing By Ed from Pasadena, CA on 08/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Conservative, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a good casual polo and i wear it with or without a sportcoat. I particulaly like the banded bottom. the sizing however is strange. I originaly ordered a large 42-44. The shirt was actually about 47. I returned it for a medium which is also large and exceptionaly long. This applies to all three items
Something fishy about this! By Left Coaster from North Oregon Coast on 01/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The first time worn there was a fishy smell..literally, it smelled like fish! I have washed it three times now (in Woolite) and dried it flat as directed. The smell still remains! The only thing this shirt can be used for is fishing or crabbing. It can't be worn in the woods, as I believe it would attract large cats or bears.
