good sandals in or out of the water By TT Dean from Michigan on 05/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In the summer, I spend a lot of time at a lake with a rock bottom so wanted a sandal that I can wear on land or in the water. These work great. They are comfortable and provide good support. I ordinarily wear size 7 1/2 so purchased the 8. The sandal seems a little long (there is about 1" of the sandal beyond my big toe) but this is probably the right size for an 8.
Just can't get enough Merrell! By Island Girl from Fairfield, Maine on 05/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stable Cons: Hard to come by, Unusual smell Best Uses: ATVing, Beach, Hiking, River rafting, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative, Down to earth Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I search high and low to find Merrell sport sandals as I have not found a better product for the price. The Merrell convertible is my favorite, but the Rapid Pulse is becoming a true competitor as well. My favorite use is land/water applications since the sole is extremely stable on rocks, and the upper dries quickly. The upper provides superior protection against scrapes and injury as well. We also wear our Merrells when we ATV as there is sometimes a lot of water. Just can't find them anywhere though which is a bummer. The only negative I find is that the sole has an unusual smell. Takes a little getting used to, but helps me locate them! Thanks Sierra Trading for carrying some of the Merrell products.
Merrells are always great By mk from sumer Nebraskan, winter Texan on 05/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Cons: Not as thick soles as old Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Hiking, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I would like to see them go back to the more cushioned soles (thicker) that they put on their shoes about 10 years ago. Old boney feet need the extra cushion for active wear.

By Julie from Indianapolis, IN on 04/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Gear nut value driven Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have many pairs of Merrell footwear. I ordered my normal size 8's, and they appeared to be too long, but I'm not sure. There is a small raised inverted "V" on the footbed that should run in the raised area ahead of the main part of your foot behind your toe pads (in the toe arch area.) This "V" was in the right place, however, the end of the sandal was two inches past my toes. I felt like I had elf shoes on. I exchanged them for a pair of 7's. These are the proper length - every part of the sandal structure is aligned properly with the rest of my foots (straps, etc), but the "V" is under the ball of my foot now. Don't know if it's a defect, or they're really sandals for elves. Either way, I'm going to use my Dremmel to take down the raised part and wear them. For the sale price they're worth the trouble. Would never pay full price for these due to the odd fit.
