Wish there were more colors By Ellie the hiker from Estes Park,CO on 08/03/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Wish it included belt Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was anxious to try these after seeing a friend's pair of Royal Robbins and noticing how nicely styled anf form-fitting they were. They have many of the same features as my old pair of zip-off hiking pants but with alot less bulk. Just wish they included a mesh belt like many brands do.

Almost perfect hiking pants By Peak Bagger from New Hampshire on 05/13/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Lots of pockets, Packable, Water Resistant Cons: Little baggy in legs Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants have everything I need for a rugged hike: lightweight but strong fabric for rock scrambling. I tested the material in the sink when they first arrived.. ran water on the pant leg and it didn't soak through!. That's a great feature when get caught in a shower on the trail, slide over rocks or sit in an occasional puddle. These pants fit me well,no gapping at the waist with the elastic like many pants do. The shorts, when zipped off, are the perfect length for modesty. Tired of the short shorts when hiking in front of men. Like the two leg options..either button up tighter (had some surprise snow drifts last weekend in the NH mountains)or open up the velcro for ease to get off over boots.
The only negative I found was they are a little baggy from the zip-off to the ankle. Allows ease of movement but could be trimmer to look better and not get in the way. They are long, but I am 5'6" so is good for me. Shorter people may have difficulty.
By fly fisher from clermont, fl on 05/12/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these to fly fish in and do a lot of wading on the flats in the Bahamas. These are the most confortable, quick drying pants and are quite durable considering they are in the sun and salt water for hours and hours. Wish they came in other lighter colors.

great hiking and travel pants By Mimi from Spartanburg, SC on 04/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Quick drying, Stylish Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love to take them on vacations. You have two pants in one, slacks and shorts and can stow all kinds of things in the pockets. They take up little room in a suitcase and can be washed and dried in a hotel room easily. I have three pairs in different colors and wear them all the time for hiking and traveling. Nothing about them I don't like.
By jane from hawaii on 04/06/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfortable and dries fairly quickly. However, material is quite shiny (reminds me of swim shorts) and the cut is not particularly flattering. The interior lining of the pockets is mesh, which helps to keep you cool, but poses a problem when carrying things like keys in your pockets that might chafe.

Great product at a fair price! By TLH41 from Indianapolis, IN on 03/25/2008 Pros: Great fit for women, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking, Traveling Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Being 5'4" and with a short inseam, I normally can't find this type of hiking pant that will fit me both in the waist/hips and in the leg. These are the shortest I've found, though I still had to hem them about 2" for my 27 1/2" inseam. (Tricky, but possible to hem.) The fit in the waist, hips and thighs is perfect for those of us who are not rail thin :-) The construction seems of good quality, and I like the moderately light weight of the fabric. The legs use a series of hidden velcro tabs and then a couple of small buttons with a tiny elastic loop to snug the ankles as needed, and to allow you to remove the legs over your shoes when you unzip them. (Not a draw cord as listed in the description.) Far more affordable than any of the styles available in stores that I have seen, and just as nice! These are the perfect choice for hiking in warm climates.
