For me, it fits nicely, a little below the waist, not tight, a looser fit, which for me is perfect for hot days.Good lenght too, below the knee. I"m passed the age of being able to wear short skirts and look good. Seems to need ironing, may be the style,as it is just all cotton. The relaxed pleats seem to puff out, ironing them will probably take care of that.

In fact, I bought another skirt in a 10 and this in an 8 and this one's waist is still an inch bigger than the other. That said, it is comfortable (I bought the white one), doesnt wrinkle easily, is long enough you can run around playing frisbee without flashing people and the fabric is so soft straight out of the package. Also, it is not really see-thru. It is my new fav summer skirt!
Cute, good quality but BIG! By floridahutch from north central florida on 04/01/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As previous reviews have said, the waist on this skirt is way too big if you want to wear it higher than hip-hugging. I buy size 10 in many brands but could easily wear an 8 in this skirt and wear it a bit higher. Otherwise, great stylish skirt and love that it's lined.
By kk from Boise, ID on 03/30/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Versatile Cons: Thin Fabric, Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really cute (and comfortable) skirt. I read a prior review that indicated it ran almost a size bigger, so I was able to order the appropriate size. I took this skirt to Mexico last week...and got LOTS of compliments. Cute, comfortable, and still looked good!

I ordered this skirt in white and it is very nice, it has some flower designed on it. The size was too big though, I often were an 8 (sometimes a size 6 depending of the brand), for this one, I needed a 6 and it is still very comfortable!

However, as other reviewers have stated it runs big so order 1 size down.
By Laniebird from Los Angeles, CA on 02/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Light Cotton Throughout, No see thru, Very Comfy Waist Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hottest Summer Days, Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have about a 30" waist & a tummy. I bought both the size 6 & 8, and both fit. The size 6 is approx. 1/2 inch smaller in the waist, I kept the 6 as it still offered plenty of "breathing room" when I sit. It probably won't shrink when I wash it, but even if it did, it'll be okay I'm sure. I'm a little more than 5'5" & the skirt falls just below the knee. One of the best fitting and comfy skirts I have owned in a long while. Cute skirt that I look forward to wearing.

This one was perfect. The white design in the fabric was a plus. The discounts were awesome! I would definitely recommend looking on sierra trading first to find what you need.
By Watershed Deb from Peekskill, NY on 01/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Nice Fabric Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This skirt is SO cute. I love the flare and the big flowery print. The length, however, is the one thing that's not so flattering. It hits me mid-knee and makes my legs look chunky. But this is easily fixed by shortening it a couple of inches. On a taller woman (inseam of 32" or more) I'd say the length would be perfect and you would love it.
