By gbmurf from Southport, CT on 03/04/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The leather was very low quality and one boot looked like it was discolored. I can't believe that Sierra Trading Post would sell them! I returned them the next day!
By wanda the witch from NJ and NC on 02/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love boots and would wear these for travel except for the airline security where you have to take your shoes off. That would be a pain. They are very comfortable, even the first time I wore them.
By Lookin' for a bargain from Fox Valley, IL on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like these boots. They're kind of rugged looking, not smooth and dressy, but I like them that way!! Great with jeans! Plus, you can't TOUCH a pair of Frye boots for this price anywhere else!! Be sure to check for online coupons!!
By keek4 from merrill, wi on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have bought hundreds and hundreds of items from STP over the years!!! These boots are at the VERY,VERY top of my list of favorite purchases. They are detailed to perfection, slender and tall for long skirts, short skirts, or tucked pants, and the color is a melt-in-your mouth cinnamony chocolate suede with ecru leather lining! Frye did a top shelf product and I am the proud owner of these extremely comfortable boots! Elegant heel that meets red-carpet standards...My daughter-in-laws and daughter want them, too! So here goes yet another order to STP!!!
p.s. My husband's approval also!
I can't get my foot in the shoe! By memee from ca on 01/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Stylish, Trendy Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I can't even get my darn foot in these boots! I have thin claves and normal width feet but my ankle gets stuck in the boot before I can even get my whole foot in! I'm a slender person so I know this is a problem with the shoe. I'm sending them back! The only thing I can suggest is if you order try a half size to a size up but I don't even know if that would help.
By Snoozegirl from Chicago on 01/06/2009 Cons: Difficult Entry/Exit Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these boots and I wish they were available in another color so I could buy another pair. I receive lots of compliments whenever I wear them, and they look fantastic.
By Jane the Clotheshorse from Cincinnati, OH on 12/30/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Cute Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I agree with the previous comments about the low quality of the suede, but I am keeping the boots anyway, because overall they are great boots for the price, and because you just don't see boots like these every day. I think the leather is actually deerskin or some other rough split hide, but as long as you are prepared for boots that are somewhat "rough and tumble" as opposed to buttery soft and dressy, I would absolutely recommend them.
By LD from Atlanta, GA on 12/29/2008 Cons: Too long of a shaft, Too wide around the calf Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was so excited to receive these great looking boots and then I put them on. The length from the ankle to the knee was very long. It fit me well, but I am 5'10. The big downside was the circumference of the top of the boot around my calf...way too big. I would have kept them had it not been for this one style/fit point.
By Miriam from Vancouver BC, CA on 12/24/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office Describe Yourself: Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the boots, exactly what I was looking for! The only concern is the boots don't look like brand new.
I would definately order these again! By burrita from Lawrence, KS on 12/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these boots! The ONLY con is the studded fringe tabs come off toward the bottom of the boot. You can tell they are treated to be more durable and only a couple came off on the inside bottom part of the boot. They are 100% bench-crafted Frye boots and that is exactly how they look. They are meant to look slightly worn but they are definately a well made boot. The leather lining makes them soooo warm and they slide right on as long as you are wearing socks or tights. Oh, and they have a way cuter shape than the picture- The toes arent squared off and the heel shape flows with the rest of the boot. Yeaaaa! Hope this was helpful
