I'll Buy Anything Barbour At These Price
By TooManyPointersVerified Reviewer from Santa Rosa, CA on 07/29/2009
Pros:
Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm
Best Uses:
Backcountry
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Chest Size:
Feels true to size
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living
Sleeve Length:
Feels too long
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This jacket fits just like the profile shown.I love Barbour, but it's got something of the European cut: narrow in the shoulder and through the mid-section. It has a smoothing, snug fit through the chest and waist. The length is below the hip, which is useful for real outdoor living when it's cold. If you're rather stocky or a bit overweight, this may not be the perfect jacket for you. I'm 60 years old, 5'3" and wear a size 12, and there was no extra room left in the size Large. If you're tall and slender, then Barbour is made for you.

I wear size 8 but ordered a 10, which fit in the shoulders but not the hips. Finishing on sleeves and collar not very classy. Returning it.

It really is a tight fit, I ordered two sizes larger than normal after returning original size and it still fits a bit snug around my hips. That being said, I love this coat, I'm again in another color.
