By Kiturgy from SWMaine on 03/04/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Lowa needs to take a page from running shoe manufacturers. These shoes have all the things I didn't like about stiff leather hikers and put them into a sneaker-like hiker. They are stiff and hard and have a narrow toe box. Because the sole is hard, they don't grip well on wet pavement or icy sidewalks. They're fine for every day where, in and out of the house/car, mud puddles.
Waterproof but kinda stiff By Sheri the dog walker from Pinehurst, North Carolina on 02/05/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, Great Traction Cons: Not flexible, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes run 1/2 size larger. They are great as far as being waterproof but are stiff with no cushioning on the sole. I'll wear them to walk my dog when it's rainy or snowing but no other time.
Maybe after they are broken in better. By kksly from Kalamazoo, MI on 01/31/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, Durable Cons: Not flexible, Poor Traction Best Uses: All Weather Conditions Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe is very stiff. It really makes it hurt across the top of the foot. Feet stay dry but very uncomfortable.
By Kerri from Atlanta on 01/12/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They were a bit stiff at first but now they are a few weeks old and very comfortable. I wear them for light hiking and general Mom duties with all day comfort. They DO run large, so as recommended take this into account when ordering. I usually wear a 9 1/2, but my 9 is plenty long.

Would buy these again in a second!!! By Jessie from Massachusetts on 12/28/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I absolutely love these shoes! The color is great and don't shy away because they're red. I have received so many compliments while wearing these, even to work! With the Gore-Tex you can't go wrong so they'll always keep your feet dry. The shoes are very comfortable- HOWEVER, due to its structure the tongue was digging into the tops of my feet so I used my shoe stretcher. After a few days with it in, the shoes felt like I never needed to break them in. They're SOOO comfortable besides that small setback that I personally found. I would recommend these to anyone!! These are the second pair of Lowa's that I have boughten and will continue to do so in the future.
Good product with nice look By Peegee from Troms, NORWAY on 05/08/2008 Best Uses: Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoes in wet weather, with good comfort and nice look. They have also the right colors for my country...
Good looking shoe, bad fit for me By Estelle the LT hiker from VT on 03/23/2008 Pros: Good Looking, Nice color Cons: Lacked cushioning in sole, Not enough arch support, Squeaks, Too narrow at toe box, Too Wide at mid foot, Uncomfortable fit Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really liked the looks of this shoe. I didn't mind that it was supposed to run bigger as I planned to wear heavier hiking socks. Unfortunately, the toe box was significantly narrower than the rest of the shoe and the fit was so uncomfortable. I can't imagine designing an outdoor adventure shoe with so little arch support and cushioning. After two hrs of wear in the house, my feet actually ached. Needless to say, I returned them.
By The hiker from Michigan on 11/22/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I spent eight hours in the German Alps, during an extremely rainy day. These shoes kept my feet nice and dry, plus they were very comfortable to wear. The toe box was nice and wide, my toes didn't feel cramped at all. The only negative I have is that the inside lining is coming away from the shoe at the heel area.
