By Lake walker from Michigan on 08/06/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Loved the lock-down laces - easy to tighten and loosen. Also has pocket to tuck away lacing. Light weight feature sold me as I am traveling to the hot Southwest. I have had this brand of shoes since 2005 bought for a trip to Australian out-back. They have lasted with good traction and comfort. I learned, however, to buy a 1/2 size smaller. With this new pair, I do not have to wear thick socks.

I ordered my regular size since that was the only size available and my toes sloshed around in the toe box. So will have to send them back.

It was a great gamble. THey are exceptionally comfortable. Great padding throughout the foot and especially at the heel, ankle support reminiscent of a skate shoe, lightweight, and good looking. Warning - I wear a 7.5 or 8 in running shoes and bought these in a 7, and they fit perfectly.
