Wide toes, narrow heels, great cushion By Kaleo's mom from Silicon Valley on 10/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Fast, Good Traction, Great shade of light blue, Lightweight, Toebox taller SauconyOmni Best Uses: Pavement, Track, Walking and Running Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Thank you to others who reveiwed this shoe, who mentioned that the toe is wide, and the heel is narrow. I've been a runner for 40+years and have nearly always bought men's shoes because of my flat bony feet, need for extra cushioning. I have very narrow heels. The cushioning on these is great..softer than Asics. About as soft as men's Adidas Supernova Control. The cushioning is responsive...you don't just sink in. In road running, I'm a heel striker, and the Ryka's don't hurt my knees. On the track for practice sprints, they are responsive. They fit perfectly from day 1. Highly recommend these shoes if you have wide forefoot, (or bunions), bony feet, and need snugness on your heels. Just don't by the size 8.5...I plan to buy all they have in stock!
Great shoe at a good price. By DeeDee from Talent, OR on 08/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good cushioning, Good support, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ryka knows how to fit women's feet. Mine are difficult as I need support & cushioning that works with my foot issues. This is my second pair of Rykas. I wish you offered a dark blue instead of the light blue or white. I have big feet and use an orthotic and this shoe looks feminine, even in a large size. This is a great shoe for the price.
By Bonzai from Colorado Springs, CO on 01/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Fast, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Track, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are nice and light and comfortable. The width is great. These shoes tend to run a bit small. Fortunately, I ordered a half size larger than my regular size and they fit fine. I would recommend ordering at least a size larger especially if you're a serious runner.

Comfy shoes--great price! By Jenny from St. Cloud, MN on 09/12/2007 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Active & Fit, Casual/ Recreational, Professional Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I tend to buy running shoes for walking because I find that they are more comfortable and provide more spring to my step. These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. I tend to have a more narrow heel area, and these shoes specifically said they fit close in the heel and more open in the ball of the foot. I would say that description is very accurate, and my feet are not slipping around inside the shoe. I can't really comment on their utility for running, trail use, or weather conditions because I've only worn them on an indoor track or outside in dry, sunny conditions.

By Maria on the mend from Colorado on 09/11/2007 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this shoe when I needed support and comfort after breaking my foot. As with the Ryka cross-trainers I wear for Jazzercise, these shoes fit very well, are lightweight, comfortable and provide good traction. A good purchase!
By Quick Blonde Fox from Albuquerque, NM on 09/11/2007 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these hoping that they would give my toes more room, yet stay on my heel when I run. They get the job done on both these fronts.
